Consultant – Engineering Services

Due to continued growth, we have an opportunity in Kentucky for an experienced engineering consultant to join our team based out of our Lexington, KY office. The ideal candidate will have a diverse background in the public sector infrastructure market in KY and be able to collaborate with technical staff on developing projects across multiple service areas including civil, transportation, water/wastewater, MEP and construction.
Primary Responsibilities
- Identifies and develops pursuit strategies including teaming with other firms and sub-consultants to win key projects within the Area.
- Collaborates with technical staff to identify projects and develop scope, schedule and budget.
- Evaluates opportunities in light of the firms’ technical capabilities to support the ”Go/No Go” process.
- Constributes to the technical depth of the Area by bringing engineering design and/or project management experience in one or more of the company’s disciplines.
- Participates in professional organizations and events to advance the firm’s image and develop relationships with clients, prospects, and partners.
Position Requirements
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline and KY PE license is desired.
- 10+ years of progressive experience with public sector engineering projects is required.
- Ability to lead marketing efforts for multiple disciplines and project types throughout the Area.
- Experience with the planning, design and construction of local roads, water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and drainage projects.
- Experience with KYTC project development and experience working with Lexington MPO and Districts 8 & 9.
- Ability to identify and build relationships with clients and partners in the KY market.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to make public presentations, lead internal initiatives, and staff meetings.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel throughout the area as needed.
