Water Plant Operator – Part-time

We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Water Plant Operator to join our team in Evansville, IN on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have experience serving as the lead operator for a public potable water treatment system and be familiar with plant operations, maintenance and upgrades to both equipment and processes.

Primary Responsibilities

• Serves as a consultant for operations, maintenance, and system upgrades for public water utilities.
• Provides input on making process adjustments based on process data and operational skillsets.
• Monitors the collection of treatment and equipment data (flow data, run times, etc.) and compliance sampling.
• Makes recommendations for adjustments of chemical feed systems and chemical containers as needed.
• Provides guidance on the maintenance of process and facility equipment.
• Assists in the design and rehabilitation of all processes of the potable water treatment process for maintenance and capacity upgrades.

Position Requirements

• A.S. or B.S. degree in Chemistry or Environmental studies is desired. H.S. diploma and relevant technical training is required.
• 10+ years of experience serving as the lead operator of a public water treatment system.
• Experience overseeing the performance of manual and skilled work in the operation, cleaning, construction, repair, and maintenance of the water pumping, storage, distribution, and treatment systems.
• Knowledgeable in the operation and capabilities of SCADA systems.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel throughout the area as needed.
