Water Service Line Inspector

Clark Dietz provides Civil, Environmental, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering services out of our Wausau office located in North Central Wisconsin. We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Water Service Line Inspector to join our Wausau Wisconsin Team. The selected candidate will provide field inspection and documentation during the replacement of residential water service lines around Wausau, Wisconsin.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provides field inspection and documentation for the replacement of residential water service lines.
  • Provides documentation services on the daily activities and relevant discussions with the contractor.
  • Ability to measure and illustrate (graphically and in narrative) the location of the water service line and the work associated with its installation.
  • Collaborates with other construction and design staff.
  • Works productively with all project stakeholders (contractor, owner, and residents) to resolve issues professionally.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • A High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Effective in various levels of communication including the public, internal/technical, contractors, clients, etc.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel and Word) is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications preferred.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to maintain detailed daily logs and follow through on outstanding punch list items.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to project sites as needed.
